About Us
Our love of the natural things around us and the desire to share these images with others is the main focus of this website. Some of these images only lasted a moment and the chance to capture that moment was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Take a minute, sit back and relax, and enjoy.
As participants in "Historical Reenactments" we visited Old Fort Snelling and the adjacent state park many times and that's when we found a treasure trove of animal life in our backyard.
A very large portion of our photo galleries came from the state park system.  Minnesota has 70 plus state parks and we visited them all.  In July of 2005 we completed the passport club agenda and became two of only 1000 people to do so.This turned out to be a very interesting and enjoyable pursuit. The diversity in this state is incredible, from the prairies in the southwest corner, the river bluff country of the southeast, to the North Woods and of course the North Shore. You definitely have an opportunity to take a photo or two.
Mary's pursuit of that "money shot" has taken us to one end of the country and back again.  ALASKA lived up to her reputation as the go to area for photographic opportunities. We would be more than happy to share our experiences with you.
We would like to share these special moments with you and offer you the opportunity to purchase a print by going to our web page: Amazing Nature

Wow, that's a whopper!
I took this photograph thinking it was another egrit in the water.I was setting up to take a shot of this egret resting on a submerged tree in the backwaters of the Minnesota River when to our surprise, Egret and myself, this fish leaped out of the water startling both of us. MHD
